Decatur's Iwasaki is Player of the Year

Allison Iwasaki, Decatur — The senior outside hitter averaged a league-leading 4.3 kills a game for the Gators and was one of only three players with over 200 kills during the season. Iwasaki also had 20 service aces for the Gators, who played at the West Central/Southwest District Tournament. Was a first-team All-SPSL South selection for the second straight season.

Brittany Ashby, Decatur — Senior averaged 5.4 assists a game from her setter position. Was a second-team All-SPSL South selection.

Lisa Clark, Jefferson — Was second in the SPSL South in stuff blocks with 31 in 46 games.

Kelli Brown, Jefferson — Led the SPSL South in stuff blocks with 35 in 44 games.

Emily Seekins, Jefferson — Defensive wizard had 141 digs during the season (fourth in the South Division).

Jessica Pate, Jefferson — Had 31 aces in 47 games and seventh in the league in stuff blocks.

Alicia Novak, Federal Way — Was the Eagles leading hitter during the season.

Malia Miller, Beamer — Was Beamer’s leading hitter during the season with 77 kills in 42 games.

Katie VanderArk, Beamer — Was a do-everything outside hitter for the Titans and coach Bliss Carlson.
