The Eastern Washington University football team will be taking on Sam Houston State University (10-2) today in Cheney in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I-AA football championships. The game begins at 4:30 p.m. at 10,000-seat Woodward Field on the EWU campus.

The Eagles feature Federal Way High School grads Brandon Keeler and Anthony Dotson. Keeler is the starting safety and Eastern’s leading tackler this year. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound sophomore has a total of 107 tackles in 12 games and two interceptions. Dotson, a redshirt freshman cornerback, has spent most of the season as a backup.

Eastern (9-3) earned the trip into the quarterfinals with a 35-31 victory over No. 1-ranked Southern Illinois last week. Keeler had 11 total tackles in the game, including nine solo.
