Shea McFeely — The 2002 grad of Federal Way hit .294 for the Oregon State Beaver baseball team this past season. McFeely started 52 of the Beavers’ 53 games during his sophomore year at third base and had five home runs and 38 RBIs, which was good for third on the team. Oregon State finished the 2004 season with a 31-22 record and 10-14 in the rugged Pac-10 Conference. McFeely played his freshman season at Tacoma Community College where he was the NWAACC Player of the Year.

Dan Richardson — The 2000 graduate of Thomas Jefferson recently completed his senior year on the Northwest Nazarene University baseball team. Richardson, a shortstop, started all 49 of NNU’s games and hit .285 with two home runs, 25 RBIs, 11 doubles and 31 runs. The team finished 15-34 on the season.

Allen Waldo — The Federal Way grad just finished his senior year on the Westmont College baseball team. The catcher hit .224 in 41 starts with 17 RBIs. Westmont ended the year 8-37. The school is located in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Aaron Fulmer — The 2001 TJ grad completed his sophomore season on the Pacific Lutheran University baseball team. Fulmer, a pitcher, redshirted last year at PLU finished 4-4 on the mound with a 5.28 earned-run average in nine starts. Pacific Lutheran finished the 2004 season 23-16 and 15-9 in conference play.

Tony Barnette — The Thomas Jefferson grad recently ended his sophomore season on the Central Arizona Junior College baseball team. Barnette finished 7-1 with 11 saves and a 2.16 earned-run average as a right-handed pitcher. Central Arizona ended the season with a 47-15 record after losing to Dixie College in the West District Finals. The team won the NJCAA Region I title. Barnette has already signed a letter of intent to pitch at Arizona State University next year as a junior.

Jamie Nilsen — The 2003 Jefferson grad redshirted for the Central Washington University baseball team this year.

Tawnya Guthrie — The 2003 TJ grad recently finished her freshman year on the Wichita State fastpitch team. Guthrie, a catcher, started 55 games and hit .236 for the Shockers with five home runs and 21 RBIs. Wichita State finished 38-26 and 15-12 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Natasha Lindsey — The 2002 graduate of Jefferson played on the Tusculum College fastpitch team. Lindsey ended the year with a 16-10 record as a pitcher with a 2.08 ERA and 95 strikeouts. Tusculum finished the season with a 29-18 record. Tusculum is a school in Greenville, Tenn., and they play in the South Atlantic Conference.

Kelly Claar — The 2003 graduate of Decatur just ended her freshman season on the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. Claar started all 61 of their games as a pitcher and hitter. She hit .267 with 30 RBIs and six home runs. She was also 6-11 on the mound with a 3.44 ERA in 17 starts with 39 strikeouts.

Jeff Krogman — The Federal Way High School graduate is playing baseball at Whitworth College in Spokane. Krogman, a catcher, played in nine games, starting none, and hit .300 with one RBI and two doubles. Whitworth finished 13-26 overall.

Greg Washington — The 2003 Federal Way grad is playing baseball at the University of Puget Sound. Washington didn’t play in any games as a freshman for UPS (20-18).

David Beaver — The Decatur grad is playing baseball at Gallaudet University in the Washington D.C. area. Beaver hit .229 with four RBIs and also was 0-2 with a 13.78 ERA. Gallaudet finished 6-23-1 overall.

Jason Clark — The Federal Way grad is playing baseball at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The third baseman transferred from Marshaltown Community College (Iowa) and just completed his junior season. Clark hit .337 in 29 starts with four home runs and 26 RBIs. Northwestern Oklahoma finished the season 26-28.

Erica Kuchciak, Tiffany Jones and Lauren Morales — Kuchciak and Jones, both 2003 Federal Way grads, and Morales, a 2003 Decatur grad, played for the Green River Community College fastpitch team. The Gators ended their season with a 22-19 record.

Kaitlin Bailey and Kristy Richardson — Bailey, a 2003 Decatur grad, and Richardson, a 2003 TJ grad, played on the Highline CC fastpitch team. Highline finished the season with a 19-19 record.

Jon Manthey — The Federal Way grad recently finished up his junior season on the Washington State University track team. Manthey is a middle distance runner for the Cougars.

Ashley Osman — The 2003 Jefferson grad finished up her freshman season on the Western Washington University fastpitch team. Osman, an infielder, hit .200 in seven starts for the 22-23 Vikings.
