YMCA Sports

The Federal Way Norman Center YMCA is accepting registration for the following spring sports: Indoor soccer, grades K-3; Outdoor soccer, grades four to six; T-ball age 4 to kindergarten; Coach pitch, grades one and two; Volleyball, grades four to eight; Roller hockey, first grade to adult. Spring hoops

The Federal Way Boys & Girls Club is gearing up to launch its inaugural season of High School Spring Hoops. Players in grades 10 to 12 are invited to play. The league will be split in two divisions based on skill level. Any team composed of players with any varsity-level experience will play in the A League. Players with no varsity experience will be placed in the B League. Players may form their own teams or apply to the league as free agents.

Teams also may be formed with players from any high school or grade level. Teams are not allowed coaches, only player representatives. The fee is $50 per player, or $400 per team. All teams will play eight games plus playoffs, with the season running from April 8 to June 1. Register now at the Club. Call 941-2722.

Kick-start soccer

The Federal Way Norman Center YMCA is accepting registration for Kick-Start Soccer, a pre-season soccer clinic for grades K-3.

Sessions will be Monday and Wednesday evenings until April 4. Cost of the program is $30 plus annual YMCA membership. The clinic will focus on the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and positioning. Call 838-4708.

Elementary baseball

The Federal Way Boys & Girls Club is now registering for Elementary Baseball. The program is for boys and girls in grades one through six. Teams are formed from local elementary schools and school areas. The registration period runs until March 21. Registration must be done in person at the club, 30815 Eighth Ave. S. Call 941-2722.

King Aquatic Club

New members ages 6 to 18 are welcome to join the year-round competitive swim club. Tryouts are at 6 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday at the King County Aquatic Center and Mount Rainier Pool in Des Moines. Practice groups are available for swimmers with varying skill levels. Call (206) 878-1634.
