Johnson, Street top All-City Golf Teams

After a strong performance at the South Puget Sound League golf tournament, Federal Way junior Luke Johnson leads this year’s boys All-City Golf Team. Johnson took second at the league tournament last month and qualified for state for the second year in a row. He also helped his Federal Way team take second overall.

Helping Johnson was All-City teammate David Piggot, who was 16th in the SPSL tournament and qualified for state.

Also on the All-City Team are Federal Way seniors Ian Clark and Ryan Davis. Both have state tournament experience. Clark finished in the top 10 at state the past two years, but neither was able to compete in this year’s state qualifying tournament.

Jefferson’s Jason Lee and Brandon Brown round out the boys All-City Team. Lee finished 12th at the SPSL tournament and qualified for state. Brown was 13th at the SPSL tournament and also qualified for state.

Decatur junior Katie Street leads the girls All-City Golf Team. Street placed fifth at the SPSL tournament and qualified for state for the second year.

Decatur’s Cailin Magruder was sixth in the SPSL tournament and also made it to state. Teammate Tabi Puetz also earned a spot on the All-City Team after qualifying for state. She was 13th at the SPSL tournament.

Decatur’s Allison Sayre was tied for 17th after first round of the SPSL tournament and earned a place on the All-City Team.

All-City selection Jennifer Riley, a senior at Federal Way, was tied for 33rd after first round of the SPSL tournament.

Federal Way’s Korri Shimizu also earned a place on the All-City team after a strong regular season.
