Kiyohara hit a home run against Stony Brook on Feb. 15 and went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI to give Louisville an 8-0 win. She walked four times and reached base in each of the five games.

Last year, Kiyohara played in 38 games with 27 starts. She scored 14 runs and drove in 13. She was selected to the Big East All-Academic Team.

As a freshman, Kiyohara was named first-team, All-Big East Conference becoming the first true freshman in Louisville history to receive that honor. She hit .331 in 49 games and scored 19 runs with two doubles and 22 RBIs. Kiyohara was also named to the Athletic Director's honor roll in the fall and spring and the Dean's List and Red & Black Scholar in the fall.

Kiyohara was the Mirror's All-City Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010 before signing with the Kentucky school.
