STATE SWIMMING/DIVING PREVIEW: Berry, Sobus only individuals from Federal Way

Friday and Saturday, King County Aquatic Center, Federal Way

Schedule: Friday – 3A preliminaries are from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.; 4A preliminaries are from 6:15 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. Saturday – 3A finals start at 2:30 p.m.; and 4A finals start at 6:30 p.m.

2012 team champions: 4A – Stadium. 3A – Lakeside of Seattle.

Notable: The only individual from the Federal Way school district who will be competing in the 4A meet will be Federal Way junior Spencer Berry. He has the 18th-best qualifying time in the 100-yard butterfly and the 22nd-best time in the 100 backstroke.

Trace Gooden, Berry, Jon Scott Wigley and Aaron Persinger will swim in the 200 free relay. The Eagle relay team enters the state meet seeded 23rd.

Decatur junior Evan Sobus will compete in the 1-meter diving during the Class 3A meet. Sobus has the 19th-best qualifying round with 255.85 points.

Tickets: Daily passes are $9 for adults, $7 for students and senior citizens. Weekend passes are $15 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens.
