PoMo seeks wine label designs

The Port Moody Arts Centre is looking for 2D work in any media that will be suitable for reproduction on its latest edition of Artists Series wine labels.

Artwork should be bright, simple, and suitable for reproduction. Most importantly, artwork should represent Port Moody or the Port Moody Arts Centre. The final label size will be 10.5 by 9.2 cm in either vertical or horizontal orientation. Submissions are due March 6 at 8 p.m. For more information or to download an entry form please visit or phone 604-931-2008. Sample bottles from last year’s competition are currently on display in the main gallery at the Port Moody Arts Centre.

The submissions will be juried down to nine entries, and Arts Centre staff will design labels using the selected artwork. These labels will then be sent to Domain de Chaberton and mocked up on empty bottles. The bottles will be on display from April 12 to May 13 in the Blackberry Gallery’s display case and the public will be invited to vote for their favorite labels.

The winners will be unveiled Nov. 1.
