BRIEF: Federal Way FC U-17 Blue wins San Diego Surf College Cup title

The Federal Way Football Club Boys U-17 Blue team recently won the San Diego Surf College Cup in California over Thanksgiving weekend.
The tournament was a college showcase with over 300 coaches present from all over the United States and over 150 teams.
Federal Way won their four-team preliminary bracket and then beat the Pateadores Academy from Costa Mesa, Calif., 3-0, to move into the finals.
In the championship against Omaha Elite, which has won the last four Nebraska state titles, 2-1. Federal Way went up 1-0 with a goal in the first half, before Omaha scored a penalty kick early in the second. Federal Way tallied the game-winner late in the second half to seal the win.
The big tournament win vaulted Federal Way into the top spot in the state of Washington by Gotsoccer.com.
The team includes Brandon Madsen, Austin Yon, Connor Dayton, Devin Pegues, Stein Christensen, Tyler John, Garrett Brewer, Alex Lewis, Nigel Hall, Jake Sullivan, Adam Wilson, Zak Rawson, Adam Aquilar, Luca Vaccarini, Joey Mack, Saul Gomez-Hernandez. Federal Way is coached by Jason Prenovost.
