The Federal Way Lady Knights 14-under fastpitch team won the silver bracket championship on Sept. 25 at the Acers Fall Finale at the Kent Service Club fields.

The Knights won their first game in the bracket, 9-8, over the Absolute Blast and followed that up with a 12-5 win over the Washington Blaze to qualify for the championship round. In the championship, the Lady Knights were powered by a home run by Isabelle McLarty and a 3-run double from Maddy Seumalo to defeat the Bellevue Blast, 13-5. Gennie Summers pitched a complete game, allowing five runs on five hits while striking out four.

The team includes Baily Nelson, Sam Simundson, Maddy Seumalo, Sophie Afework, Gennie Summers, Isabelle McLarty, Alex Haven, Emily Sanchez and Aleah Adams. The team is coached by Romi Afework, Mark Summers and Gary Haven.
