GIRLS BASKETBALL: Top-ranked Eagles remain unbeaten in SPSL South; TJ wins

No. 1 Federal Way 76, at Puyallup 24
Senior Talia Walton led the top-ranked Eagles with 18 points as the Eagles (11-1, 9-0) remained on top of the South Puget Sound League South Division. It was Federal Way's second big win over the Vikings this season. The Eagles held Puyallup to single-digit points in all four quarters Friday night.
Federal Way had 10 players score at least two points during the game. Junior guard Darah Huertas-Vining finished with 14.
At Emerald Ridge 77, Beamer 54
Jaguars' guard Taylor Buie made six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 39 points during the win over Beamer (7-6, 4-5) Friday night. Meghan Graf and Megan Huff each scored 20 for the Titans.
Jefferson 35, at Kentridge 29
The Raiders (5-7, 4-5) jumped out to a 22-8 lead in the first half and hung on for the win Friday night in Kent. Jada Piper led TJ with 13 points and Christy Kullberg finished with 10.
