School district should have invited public to see new high school | Letter

This Federal Way resident since 1972 was a bit flummoxed when some entity at Federal Way school district headquarters decided, or worse yet forgot, to give those residents of our fair city that pay their taxes an opportunity to see what they paid for before opening the new Federal Way High School to students. More than 45 percent of our real estate taxes are earmarked for our schools. I’d like to think my contribution is being spent wisely and what better way to observe that than to have been invited to an open house of our new high school on Pacific Highway before the building is christened with graffiti or inventory “misplaced”.
