Is U.S. citizenship for sale to the highest bidder? | Federal Way letters

I'm writing in response to editor Andy Hobbs' column expressing concern about people "feeling uneasy, even threatened, by the potential influx of Koreans in Federal Way." (opinion, April 24)

It's not a question about feeling uneasy about a particular ethnic group. It's a question of feeling uneasy about American values. Are we so desperate for cash that legal residency and citizenship are for sale to the highest bidder? Maybe we need to change the motto on the Statue of Liberty. Instead of "...give me your tired, your poor..." perhaps it should read, "How much jack do you have?"
