Some of you dear friends may have been surprised that I did not support the recent KCLS Library levy lift in the last election.

Well here is one reason: http://thepicaroon.blogspot.com. Look at the first two photos.

The "Library Dicard (sic) Pile" reminds me of the worst in the KCLS weeding practice. Librarians told me they did the same thing when Auburn Library was added to KCLS. Rather than even sell books, which were working well at Auburn's Library before the KCLS takeover, KCLS somehow deemed dumpster-fulls "not worthy to keep" and they discarded them.

KCLS certainly is not community oriented or they would have turned them over to the Auburn Friends Group, at least, for fundraising. After all, these were puchased with community tax dollars. What a waste of tax money and community resources.
