Twin Lakes: Consider the source | Federal Way letters
February 2, 2010 · 12:59 PM
As I read the letters and flyers of the “NO” voters on the matter of Twin Lakes, I can see and hear between the lines, some very disgruntled homeowners. I wonder if the board would have suggested a no vote, that they would then be pushing a yes vote!
Could this be because they don't care about the community at large? But then if they don't care about their own homes, why would they care beyond that? Further, it seems they don't like following the rules, or having to conform to something they signed up for when they bought their home in Twin Lakes.
When you purchase in a CC&R neighborhood, certain rules come with that and you should know that when you sign the papers, assuming you read what you sign — maybe they don't, as many of them don't sign what they write. It’s not just this vote, or the way the board has handled the situation they object to, but seems they also don't like being told to pull their weeds, mow their lawns, paint their houses, remove blue tarps from vehicles, move their commercial vehicles, leave the board or leave the lake alone, or remove the profanity of a man’s privates from the back of their truck which sits where all children going to and from school can view them. One must really simply consider the source.
