“Leftover money” ("New phones: School district taps leftover money," Jan. 30): Does anyone else find this statement interesting, especially in light of the fact the Federal Way School District is asking for more money in a new tech levy?

I really wonder how much money is hanging out in “leftover” places within Federal Way schools? Given I see idling buses sitting for about 40 minutes in the morning at the top of the hill near my home and illegally along 356th Street most mornings on my way to teach in another district, I wonder if anyone else questions the money spent to pay the drivers to just sit there, the cost of the fuel, the wear and tear on the equipment, and the harm the exhaust is causing the environment?

I wonder how much money might be found “leftover” if the Federal Way School District would examine its operations.
