Good news has come to town!

I'm delighted to see that the citizens of Federal Way will once again have the opportunity to vote for a mayor-council form of government. Passing the mayor position between the council members, over and over, just means the same favorite interests are on the table, over and over.

Too often, decisions are made by the council without the benefit of a vote of the citizens of this city. We need some new blood who just might represent the majority for a change.

There may be several excellent candidates, but learning that Jim Ferrell is interested in the mayoral position really excites me. He is a thoughtful, fair person who has demonstrated as a council member that he does, indeed, represent the citizens of Federal Way.
