I urge you to vote for Mark Koppang | Election letters

I write in support of Mark Koppang for the Federal Way City Council, Position 2.

I was speaking with my neighbor, who hates politics. Like me, if she paid attention at all, it was at the national level. I am very disappointed with our representatives in D.C. We vote politicians into their first offices and by voting in good, honest, hardworking fellow citizens, we set the bar going forward for good politicians at the state and national level.

Former Speaker of the House Tip O’Neil made the famous comment that “All politics are local.” On Nov. 5, 2013, you have the opportunity to prove it is local by voting for your city council.

I write to urge you to vote for Mark Koppang for Position 2 on the Federal Way City Council. I have had the opportunity to speak several times with Mark and I have always found him thoughtful and well-informed about the issues facing Federal Way.

Mark Koppang’s experience bridges business, community service and disaster relief. He believes strongly that economic development plus teamwork will equal jobs here in Federal Way.

Mark was excellent in the recent debate.

Mark Koppang will serve the citizens of Federal Way well. I write to urge you to vote for Mark Koppang for Position 2 on the Federal Way City Council.

Peggie Duggan, Federal Way
