Letters to the Editor

When in doubt, vote them out | Election letters

It is election time again, and my philosophy on voting for incumbents is as simple as it gets: “When it doubt, vote them out,” which is why I didn’t vote for incumbents like Skip Priest, Jeanne Burbidge, etc.

And in Jeanne Burbidge’s case, I don’t believe you should be a “lifetime member” of the city council regardless of your qualifications, which is why I favor term limits.

The one exception to the rule was Kelly Maloney because she was endorsed by former candidate Anthony Murrietta because she is willing to address our traffic congestion problem, which is a number one priority for me.

I, for one, do not accept the rosy picture our traffic engineer and fellow council members give us because, as Anthony pointed out at the candidates forum in July, significant improvements can be made if the city bigwigs are not willing to “accept the status quo.”

Therefore, I urge you to vote for Kelly Maloney for Federal Way City Council and Medgar Wells for the Federal Way School Board.

Gary Robertson, Federal Way
