Superintendent's pay raise is appalling | Letters

Thank you for posting on the front page the latest information about the Federal Way Public Schools superintendent's pay ($240,000) that now exceeds the governor of Washington's pay ($166,891) by a whopping $73,109.

I find it appalling that we can afford to give this person a substantial pay raise when budgets are being cut. The unions saying that the increased money allocated to the schools will end up in the bureaucracy's pockets and not where it really needs to be is apparent based on this article.

Mark Bramhall, Federal Way
