Controversy over swallowing goldfish is silly

How can Debbie Leahy, director of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), even think about comparing school violence to swallowing a couple of fish? (Oct. 5, “Goldfish go down hard for school and PETA”). And the question I want to know is, isn’t it cruel to goldfish to keep them cooped up in those itty bitty fish bowls to begin with? Or the tanks at the pet store with the thousands of other goldfish vying to get out? And what’s sushi?

What a ridiculous thing to get upset
