On scooters: Adults pushing kids around

I read the article on how motorized scooters are practically completely banned from Federal Way (Sept. 29, “Pull over, scooters”), and I must say I am completely outraged!

Nobody makes a peep about people blasting music out of their cars, or their neighbor using the weed-wacker at 3 a.m. This is all a matter of the adults pushing around the kids!

This city wants to smite all the fun out of us riding our scooters. “Only on streets with speed limits of 25 miles per hour or less” is understandable, but telling us we can’t ride them on sidewalks is just completely stupid.

“You have to be 16” is also unacceptable! And I refuse to hand over my lovely scooter to some mean, adult policeman in a shiny cop badge, and then also fork over $250. Call my parents? Ha! Good one!

You should think about how stupid and totally unnecessary some of these “laws” are. Give us back our fun and stop letting all these adults trample over our freedom.
