About Goodwill's low donations
June 13, 2008 · Updated 4:39 PM
Interesting that Goodwill is hurting for donations these days (July 31 news article, Goodwill programs hurting for donations). Since their upgrade to a more department-store feel, they have twice refused my donations because they were no longer the image we are promoting. I have had friends make this same comment, and I and they take our same donations elsewhere.
Maybe the lower donation rate is just a shift in where the donations are being dropped off. If Goodwill wont take them, why try? Retail sales have actually been on the rise for a while.
