Qwest should be congratulated for finally doing something right.

For those who may not have noticed, they have finally managed to consolidate the city of Federal Way into a single phone book. Until now, phones north of South 320th Street were listed in the South King County book, while those south of South 320th were listed in the Tacoma book. The new South King County book now includes all of the city.

The next logical step would be to allow toll-free service from Federal Way to Tacoma for the entire city, rather than only those south of 320th Street.

As a Des Moines subscriber, I can call 40 miles north to the north city limits of Seattle, but not 10 miles south to a city with which Federal Way shares a border at the Pierce County line.
