City slipping to slum status

Why is the City Council determined to turn Federal Way into the inner city? Why is it taxing small businesses out of existence and threatening to punish existing businesses which modernize by having to build condos on top of them or in their parking lots? Why are they threatening restaurants like the Outback with extinction in order to build mass-transit bus barns when the city already has three park-and-rides?

I thought the primary reason Federal Way became a city was so that King County could not impose these types of asinine plans on us and turn a livable community into a downtown slum.

Someone with vision needs to stand up and explain to the citizens of Federal Way why we need to be changed to this vision of a modern ghetto.

This plan is stupid, and I believe that most Federal Way citizens do not know exactly what is being done to them. Worst of all, it seems that the council is doing most of this in secret and is not seeking the input of the citizens before they change our city into another unlivable place from which I will be moving.
