Bush broadening world's hatred of us

I am a Christian, and no, I did not vote for Bush. He did not seem Christlike to me then, and seems even worse now. I do not believe in preemptive attacks on other nations that have never threatened us, just in case they might in the future. Perhaps those folks who voted for Bush should put their money where their vote went and pay the billions of dollars that we are going into debt as a nation for this war. Christians are not supposed to spend more than they have.

Is Bush a Christian? By his actions I would say no, but more like a schoolyard bully who acts out each time he doesn’t get his way, or more like the Antichrist. The blood from this war will not be on my hands (I didn’t vote for him), but on each person who cast a vote for Bush.

He is not listening to you. Your “education president” is letting your schools crumble before your very eyes. He dismissed as irrelevant worldwide mainstream demonstrators against his war; he lied about Saddam and bin Laden being hand-in-hand after 9-11; he conned Congress into voting to approve this war; he stated Korea’s problems can be solved with diplomacy but refuses to talk to them (maybe if he were from Seattle, where Korea’s missiles can hit, he might take more interest).

I do not believe in Bush’s new doctrine that America has the right to invade other countries because they may threaten our future interests; that will only lead to anarchy and not to democracy. His war will not and has not made Americans safer. It will not allow us greater freedom; instead he has taken away more of our cherished civil liberties and invaded our privacy.

Why have we allowed the world’s largest military. which has a defense budget larger than the next five world powers put together, surround a small, defenseless country to test its new toys at our expense? Since worldwide sympathy went out to America after 9-11, in two short years Bush has made us into the most hated nation in the world, with worldwide suspicion, resentment and fear directed our way. How have we let him do that to us?
