Letters to the Editor

Remembrance of 9-11 was heartwarming

On behalf of the Federal Way Fire Department, I want to thank all of the individuals and groups who brought gifts of food, posters and cards to our fire stations on Sept. 11 and the weeks following. The generous outpouring truly means a lot to us.

I am also grateful to those who made the Sept. 11 remembrance so great, both in front of and behind the scenes. It was heart-warming to see so many people gather on a chilly morning to remember those who had lost their lives due to the terrorist attacks last year.

During the past year, we have gained a greater awareness and appreciation for the hard-working people who make up our community. Federal Way’s remembrance exemplified this, as so many entities worked together in such a smooth manner to create a real feeling of community.

Thank you, Federal Way, for your heartfelt expression of appreciation and support.
