District's film policy irrational

I am afraid that the idea of banning films in school is the most terrible thing I have ever heard. Pretending the things that go on in R-rated movies are just not there, rather than showing them to students and explaining it, is irrational.

History repeats itself. Teach about war. Teach about violence. Don’t take away a necessary tool for passing on this knowledge. What do students learn by not being taught? It is like banning future intelligence.
