Levy vote should move to November

State Sen. Tracey Eide wants to level the playing field by allowing school levies to pass by simple majority.

She points out that state leaders and the President are elected by a majority. There is nothing wrong with that, though I would add they are elected in the November general election.

I have always wondered why just three months later we are again going to the polls, spending thousands of dollars on special elections.

Let’s take Sen. Eide’s bill one step further by moving levies, bonds and other issues to November, when a majority of those registered vote.
