Letters to the Editor

Anti-Republican letter misses the point | Letters

If the letter sent by Mr. Savaikie wasn’t so pathetic, it would be just plain ridiculous.

Don’t know how long he has been reading the Federal Way Mirror and the letters, but maybe he is just reading what he wants to believe. The Seattle Times is pretty much mainstream media. Now this paper he may enjoy because they do not print anything that is against a certain political party.

In all the years I have been reading the Federal Way Mirror, unlike The Seattle Times, it is balanced, with neither Democrat nor Republican (leanings). I don’t always agree with some of the letter writers, but know that we live in the United States of America, and are entitled to our opinions. Here we have freedom of speech, unlike many other countries who suppress the will of the people.

In case Mr. Savaikie doesn’t know this already, the great State of Washington is blue (i.e., Democrat).

No, I am not a Democrat, Republican, or whatever you want to call me. So let's try to worry about more important things to think about. If he, Mr. Savaikie, doesn’t like the letters, he doesn’t have to read the Federal Way Mirror letters. There are many of us who do enjoy reading about what is going on in our City of Federal Way and ways to make it a safer and a more inviting city to live in.

Pat Gee, Federal Way
