I have worked with Kochmar on many issues | Letters

I first met Linda Kochmar shortly after I moved to Federal Way in 1998. After chatting for a while she suggested that, given my work career as a co-owner of a retail garden center, I should consider applying for a volunteer position on the parks and recreation commission.
When I retired in 2001, I applied for the commission and received an appointment. I was privileged to serve on the commission for eight years, the last four as chair. During that time, I worked with Linda on many issue affecting our city.
Linda always has the best interests of the citizens of Federal Way on her mind. She has the ability to evaluate all of the circumstances of an issue and make her decision on its merit, not along any political party line.
During her many years in public service, Linda has served on many regional boards, giving her a good background on issues facing the greater Puget Sound area as well as the City of Federal Way. This networking will give her an advantage in working to solve regional issues at the state level.
As a resident of Marine Hills, I am thankful for Linda interacting with the Port of Seattle to help minimize airplane noise in our city. Linda has worked tirelessly for the citizens of Federal Way and will do the same as your 30th District representative. Join me in voting for Linda Kochmar and sending her to Olympia to represent us.
