Say no to charter schools | Letters

(RE: Political cartoon on charter schools, July 13):
Charter schools have been voted down by the public twice already. We have a public education system that is doing a great job of educating our children despite its lack of funding.
Start your own education system if you can’t homeschool. We don’t want to divert any more funds, basically robbing Peter to pay Paul. The prisons are gobbling our funds (which is great business, I hear), while the schools cut an already anemic budget. This isn’t the time to be asking for money, or waste time and money by making us vote this down once again.
