Six members of the Thomas Jefferson High School girls basketball team surprised a local couple with a Christmas carol.

Last week, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised when six members of the Thomas Jefferson High School girls basketball team appeared at our door with smiles and an offer to sing us a Christmas song.

They were refreshingly polite and represented their school wonderfully as they struck up their version of the classic “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” taking it to another level. It was really fun, and as we talked, we learned that the girls were taking this upbeat approach to raise funds for new uniforms, as their current ones are due for an upgrade.

I thought you would enjoy such news regarding these young student athletes, and it’s certainly a great way to meet these neat young adults.

And what to my wondering eyes should appear but six Jefferson hoopsters so near and dear!
