Kudos to one socialist’s idea | Letters

(RE: “Bus riders and socialists confront King County Council over car tab fee proposal,” July 15): I was so glad to see “Option C” proposed by Freedom Socialist Linda Averill at the Seattle hearing over increasing car tab fees to cover cuts in service for bus riders.

Averill says there’s a third way to get the money: tax those making mega profits whether they’re individuals or corporations. You say she ran for Seattle City Council — I’d vote for her in a heartbeat! Her proposal makes tremendous sense.
