My husband and I just recently lost our cat Heidi of six years. She was found the morning of Aug. 9 by a Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club groundskeeper who has been employed with the TLCC for five years. She was found on the fifth hole behind our house. She had been cut in half cleanly (cleaved) and only her upper torso remained. This was not an animal, it was a human that did this. Her collar led him to our phone. He told us that this is the third cat found this year in the same spot and in the same manner, usually with only the hind quarters left. We also spoke with our neighbor who also lost their family cat five years ago in the same manner.

Ten years ago, we had a young male cat that came up missing; his hind quarter was discovered by our neighbor again on the fifth hole.

We have since called the Federal Way police, who were going to speak with TLCC for more information. They found this extremely disturbing that someone has been perhaps living here in the neighborhood and performing these despicable acts on innocent animals.

I felt compelled to get the word out to as many folks and have sent a note off to the TLHOA as well as the country club. I am also going to provide this information to our veterinary clinic.

I am hoping that you will persue this and think of posting an ad in your paper.

Thank you for your time.
