Ferrell has served city well

As a longtime resident of Federal Way, I have been reading your paper’s letters for many decades and agree with some opinions and disagree with others. I note some citizens of our community frequently write in with criticism of Mayor Jim Ferrell. Like many residents of our city, I have some concerns, but, overall, it is my opinion our city is moving in a positive direction. Living in English Gardens, which is adjacent to a large and infamous apartment complex, we have had our share of problems, which have always been handled expeditiously and thoroughly by the Federal Way police and municipal courts. Mayor Ferrell has personally come to our neighborhood’s assistance on two specific issues, connecting us with various departments, including police, community relations and public works. Many in our neighborhood feel as we do, that Mayor Ferrell is responsive and helpful. We appreciate his involvement and believe he serves our city well.
