The under-construction High Point development is going to cause all retail businesses within short walking distances, like Rite Aid and Safeway, to have difficulties unless they increase their security.

This will filter down to local law enforcement. Strip mall stores placed near apartment complexes historically do not do well and end up moving out of the area or going out of business. Another of the problems will be the drain on law enforcement handling crimes within the development. Federal Way has enough crime in the existing parking lots of the already-built apartments.

I agree with Clement Savaikie: “If you think crime is bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”
