For King County District Court (Southwest Electoral District) judge, position 2, The Mirror recommends electing Susan Mahoney. As a local attorney and judge pro-tem, Mahoney received higher ratings from the King County Bar Association and Municipal League than incumbent Judge Judith Eiler. Eiler has not once, but twice been reprimanded for rude conduct from the bench, and her behavior has been likened to TV’s “Judge Judy.” For a position that typically goes unchallenged, Eiler has given voters a reason to replace her, and Mahoney has more concrete support.
