Robert G. Bylsma died June 4. He was 88.

A resident of Federal Way since 1956, Bylsma was born March 21, 1918, in Hawarden, Iowa.

He was a test engineer for Boeing and was also self-employed for several years. He was involved with Calvary Lutheran Church and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, and was a model train enthusiast as well as a dance-band musician.

He is survived by his spouse, Marjory D. Grove Bylsma, four daughters, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2415 S. 320th St. in Federal Way.
