Larry Conrad McCarthy, 73, of Federal Way, Wash., passed away on Sept. 1, 2010. Larry was born on Dec. 28, 1936, in Bellingham, Wash. Mr. McCarthy served in the US Army during Korea. Larry married Linda Ann Walisch on Sept. 8, 1962. He taught shop and mathematics at Sylvester Middle School, retiring in 1985. Larry enjoyed football, cars, woodworking and the History Channel. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Erin and son-in-law Chris Reinhart, sister Delores Childress and was preceded in death by his son Chris McCarthy in 2003. An open house memorial will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the home.
