Shots fired inside Commons mall in Federal Way

Federal Way police report that a firearm was discharged inside the Commons mall about 4:10 p.m. Sunday.

Police say two parties were involved in a physical altercation near Kohl’s and Target when the gun was discharged. It is unknown if the gunshot was accidental or intentional, according to the police department.

Retailers were placed on lockdown and people inside the mall were evacuated. No injuries have been reported, according to police, who are investigating.
