Police are searching for an elderly man who has gone missing.

Manua Lafo Malauulu, 71, was reported missing Tuesday by his family. He left for a walk at 10 a.m. without his wallet, identification or medications needed to treat a medical condition. He has not been seen since.

Malauulu recently moved to the 31500 block of 13th Avenue South from the 2100 block of South Star Lake Road. Police believe he is not familiar with the surroundings of his current address and worry, due to Malauulu’s age and possible disorientation, for his safety.

Federal Way police and the King County Sheriff’s Office, using the Guardian One helicopter, with assistance from South King Fire and Rescue conducted an overnight search for the elderly man. Malauulu was last seen wearing tan pants, a gray long-sleeve shirt and a black cap. Anyone with information about Malauulu’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.
