Police investigate disturbing call from hotel | Federal Way Police Blotter

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

Ex-husband isn’t moving on: At 12:15 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 2000 block of Southwest 317th Place, a female called to report recent issues between her and her ex-husband. The female advised the divorce is pending, but her ex continues to try to get back together. She also advised that recently her clothes were exposed to pepper spray, and she believes her ex-husband did it. The female was provided no-contact order information and was advised to temporarily move out until the order can be served to the male.

Problems with wives: At 2:16 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 2000 block of 273rd Place, third-party information was obtained that a female may not be safe with her husband. The wife was upset at her husband because of his second wife’s presence in their lives. All parties are Muslim, and the husband said this wife is jealous of the other one, but they are working things out. There are no signs of injuries.

Man ejected after Wild Waves fight: At 7:26 p.m. Sept. 4, three adults got into physical dispute on the Wild Waves River Ride. The first man kicked the second man’s innertube in attempt to move him down the a ramp. The second man warned the first man not to kick him and claimed he had been physically kicked, but the first man kicked the second man’s tube again. The second man jumped out of his tube and punched the first man multiple times. The punches were blocked, and the first man was not injured. The first man’s friend then challenged the second man, and the second man punched the friend too. The second man then left the area of the ride. All parties denied injury and showed no signs of injury. The second man was asked to leave the park.

Shoplifting with a knife: At 9:48 a.m. Sept. 3 in the 1900 block of South 314th Street, an officer was dispatched to a shop lift taking place at Walmart. As the officer was en-route, the call was upgraded to a fight with a knife involving the detained person. Upon arrival, it was learned the knife was not in play, but, the suspect assaulted the security personnel in an attempt to leave. The suspect no longer had the stolen property and fled the store and left in a vehicle.

Unwanted visitor pepper sprayed: At 7:05 p.m. Sept. 3 in the 2500 block of South 316th Lane, officers were flagged down by a female who reported she was sprayed in the face with pepper spray. Officers learned the female who was sprayed entered another female’s apartment and refused to leave when told to do so multiple times. The victim’s sister sprayed the female with pepper spray, and the female ran away. The victim sprayed by pepper spray was arrested and booked into SCORE jail for burglary.

Bad neighbors: At 8:28 p.m. Sept. 3 in the 28400 block of 16th Avenue South, police responded to a neighbor dispute. The reporting party called 911 to report she had been in an argument with her neighbor. The female said she has had ongoing issues with the male regarding her dogs, parking complaints and miscellaneous issues. The female said the male approached her and said he is “going to fix her one” and went to his apartment and returned with something in his hand. The female also said at that time the male threatened to call the police and report she assaulted him by grabbing him. The female half was advised she could seek out a restraining order if she felt it was necessary. She said she would explore the option.

Going to jail … It’s a sign: At 1:29 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 600 block of South 348th Street, on officer was driving when he witnessed a male and female carrying construction road signs. When the officer turned his vehicle around he saw both subjects throw the signs in the woods. The officer made contact with both and the female said “come on, I have warrants.” Her name was run and came back with a warrant out of Fife for $1,000 for drug charges. She was booked into SCORE jail without incident.

False claim: At 2:20 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 1000 block of South 320th Street, a female reported to her uncle that she was inappropriately touched by a male and was assaulted by a female. Her mother and her uncle watched a surveillance video from the apartment complex that showed she appeared to be flirting with the male, but was never touched by him. She later admitted nothing happened after her family saw the video. She also possibly appeared to be the instigator of the fight.

Police investigate disturbing call from hotel: At 12:14 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 31600 block of Pacific Highway South at the Comfort Inn, a motel clerk called 911 after receiving a phone call to the front desk from an unknown outside phone number. An unidentified male said he was raping a female in one of the rooms. The male refused to tell the employee which room but mentioned his roommate brought home a 14-year-old girl who was wearing yoga pants, and that his roommate was raping her. The front desk worker then heard a female cry for help, which she said sounded genuine. The male called back several times prior to police arriving. Officers walked each floor but did not hear any sounds of dispute or struggle. Housekeeping employees were contacted, but they said they did not hear or see anything unusual. The front-desk worker was told to call 911 if the male called again.

Gunshots reported: At 6:22 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 30600 block of Second Avenue Southwest, a male and several other residents called 911 to report hearing several gunshots being fired close to their residence. An area check revealed ten casings on the road in front of another house. After contacting the female of that residence, she stated she heard a gun shot, but no additional information was given. There were no signs of damage, and there are no reports of any injury.

Bad husband: At 1:36 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 1700 block of Southwest 308 Place, a victim called to report her husband has been physically abusing her for the past two years. She further stated her husband assaulted her today while at her house in front of their kids. She said she would get a ride from work to the police station to provide a statement.

What’s in the box: At 3:13 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 32500 block of Second Place Southwest, a person at McDonald’s called to report that they had found a small box containing several shotgun shells. The person led the officer to the items, which were on a trail south of the address. They were recovered and placed into evidence for destruction at the station.

Don’t mess with the officer: At 10:56 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 34200 block of First Way South, an officer arrived and located a raccoon that appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. The raccoon was not moving, however it was still breathing. The officer attempted to move the raccoon and it became aggressive. He discharged his department-issued rifle once, which effectively dispatched the raccoon.
