9th Congressional District Rep. Adam Smith and challenger Sarah Smith will participate in forum.

The Federal Way Mirror is hosting public forums featuring candidates for the 30th Legislative District and the 9th Congressional District who will appear on the 2018 general election ballot.

For the 9th Congressional District, Rep. Adam Smith (D) and challenger Sarah Smith (D) will participate in a moderated forum from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 19 at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club, 3583 SW 320th St., Federal Way. The district spans from Southeast Seattle and Bellevue down to Federal Way and Tacoma.

Three races will be represented in the forum for 30th Legislative District candidates scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 10 at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club. The race for state Senate features incumbent Mark Miloscia (R) and challenger Claire Wilson (D). State represenative position 1 features incumbent Mike Pellicciotti (D) against Linda Kochmar (R), while state representative position 2 features incumbent Kristine Reeves (D) against Mark Greene (R).

The general election is Nov. 6. Ballots will be mailed to voters the week of Oct. 15.
