Man wounded in shooting at Federal Way apartment

Man sustained non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot in the leg Saturday night.

A man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg during a shooting at a Federal Way apartment on Saturday.

At about 11:30 p.m. officers responded to St. Francis Hospital for a shooting victim with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Federal Way Police Department Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.

Officers conducted an initial investigation and discovered the shooting took place at Union Apartments located at 21st Avenue Southwest.

The involved witnesses and the victim were uncooperative with police, Schwan said.

Detectives are currently conducting a follow-up investigation.
