Man seriously injured in Federal Way shooting on Saturday

Witnesses said one of the vehicles fled the scene immediately after shots were heard.

A shooting in Twin Lakes near the golf course left one man with serious injuries on Saturday morning.

Federal Way police Commander Kurt Schwan said at about 3 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 31600 block of 37th Ave. SW.

Officers found an adult male laying on the street with gunshot wounds. According to Schwan, witnesses said they saw two vehicles parked on the street side by side, and one of the vehicles fled the scene immediately after shots were heard.

He said the victim was transported to Harborview with serious injuries.

According to Evergreen Media Production, the shooting took place behind the Twin Lakes golf course.

Detectives responded to the scene to assist with the investigation, however at this time Schwan said police have not identified a motive for the shooting.
