Police responded to residence in 29600 block of Fourth Avenue South early Thursday

A 25-year-old man died early Thursday morning in what appears to be an accidental shooting at a Federal Way residence.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 29600 block of Fourth Avenue South at about 1:13 a.m.

South King Fire & Rescue and Medic One attempted provide lifesaving efforts to the victim, but they were unsuccessful.

Other people who were inside the residence at the time of the shooting were cooperating with officers, according to Federal Way police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.

As of Thursday morning, no one had been arrested as a result of the incident and detectives were continuing their investigation, Schwan said.
