Wrong time for a traffic stop: At 2:02 a.m. on Nov. 7 in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers stopped a car for a random license plate check. Police found the owner to have a felony warrant from Bellingham. The warrant was confirmed and the driver was booked into SCORE without incident.

Loud music leads to a scuffle: At 5:55 a.m. on Nov. 7 in the 32000 block of 20th Lane Southwest, police responded to a dispute. When officers arrived, the were met by a 19-year old at his apartment who had a ripped pair of boxers. He said his adult neighbor came up to his apartment pounding on his door in response to loud music he was playing. When the 19-year old opened the door, he told officers the neighbor came in and pushed him. The 19-year old said his neighbor “just ripped my boxers.” Police said the 19-year old was intoxicated and unreasonable to talk with. The neighbor said the 19-year old opened the door, lunged towards him and bumped him with his shoulder causing him to stumble back. The adult neighbor said his ankle hurt, officers didn’t notice a limp or have any other injuries. Police made no arrest due to conflicting stories.

Holiday money going to new windows: At 10:53 a.m. on Nov. 7 in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, police responded to a report of a vehicle break in. The victim reported his vehicle was parked at the listed location and the front passenger side window was broken out. The victim told officers nothing appeared to be missing from inside the vehicle. The victim also noticed the rear passenger door also was damaged by unknown means. They estimated the damage at approximately $500 dollars.

Thief gets stage fright: At 1:28 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the 33000 block of 21st Avenue Southwest, officers responded to a shoplifting incident. Witnesses told police the suspect took specific items and placed them in a camping cooler and exited the store. Witnesses saw the suspect sit on the cooler for about 10 minutes monitoring the exits. They told police the suspect appeared nervous, then left the location without the merchandise, which was valued at approximately $800.

Not your average pinata: At 3:04 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the 32000 block of Military Road South, police responded to the location after receiving complaints of “a bizarre noise.” When officers arrived, they discovered a suspect damaging a the window and door of a Ford Explorer with an object. Police arrested then booked the suspect into SCORE Jail.

Lessons not learned: At 8:35 a.m. on Nov. 8 in the 33000 block of First Way South, police were called to an incident where a suspect walked into the listed business complex after being warned both in writing and verbally that he would be arrested if he returned to the property. Officer arrested the suspect and booked then into SCORE Jail.

Sugar daddy not so sweet: At 10:32 a.m. on Nov. 8 in the 2700 block of Southwest 345th Court, police received a report of a forgery. The victim told police she recently met a male online through a “sugar daddy service.” She was told that she would be paid for services. She told officers she had received three checks, totaling over $4,000 dollars. She was directed to send the money through moneygram to a male in Africa. After sending over $4000 dollars to Africa, and when she deposited the checks into her account, they bounced. She told police she never met or spoke to the man. She also told officers she never got the man’s real name.

Man won’t be playing soccer for a while: At 4:52 p.m. on Nov. 8 in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South, police responded to a call of a vehicle theft. When officers arrived, they noticed both front and rear driver’s side windows had been broken. The victim said his/her soccer bag, full of equipment, is valued at $1,500 and $2,000 as well as a purse containing house keys, glasses and other personal items were taken.

Music man silenced: At 4:41 p.m. on Nov. 8 in the 900 block of South Dash Point Road, officers were called to a report of a residential burglary. Police discovered what appeared to be forced entry through the front door. The victim said the suspects took a saxophone, keyboard and gaming console from the living room area and a television from each of the bedrooms. Photographs were taken of the scene, and several items were checked for fingerprints with negative results.

Suspect needs engine parts: At 8:16 a.m. on Nov 9 in the 100 block of South 340th Street, a victim told police she believed a unknown person attempted to force entry into her engine compartment with a crowbar. But officers found no sign of forced entry.

Live-in son gets mad at mom, takes her car: At 9:22 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the 2100 block of South 324th Street, officers were called after a victim’s 30-year-old son took his mothers car without permission. The mother indicated that her son has a room at her house that he has a lock on the door and she lets him regularly use the car. The mother said her son did not have permission to take the car that evening, and there was an argument that followed. The son left the house with the car before officers arrival.

Suspects not fast enough: At 7:44 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Commons Mall, police made an arrest on a juvenile after they attempted to run from officers during an attempted theft apprehension. Police were called after two female juveniles attempted to steal more than $2,000 worth of merchandise from Macy’s. When officers attempted to contact the suspects, they ran. One suspect was taken into custody while the other evaded police.

Not the best wall art: At 8:10 p.m. on Nov. 12 at 650 Southwest Campus Drive, a witness contacted officers to report an exterior wall on the north side of the King County Aquatic Center had the word “Crip” spray painted on it. The reporting party told police they noticed it that morning. The person reporting said building management doesn’t normally report these incidents, but was concerned the action could be gang related.

Someone really likes license plates: At 1:37 a.m. on Nov. 13 in the 31000 block of 20th Avenue South, a resident called police after they discovered their vehicle plates had been stolen. The victim stated he does not know who took his license plates.

Victim gets more than she bargained for: At 4:17 p.m. on Nov. 13 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, a woman filed a report with police after an unknown male suspect motioned at her to come to his car so he could ask her a question. She told officers the suspect was inside the car with no pants on and his genitals were fully exposed. Victim became alarmed and walked away, and the suspect left in his vehicle in unknown direction.
