Korean School of Federal Way welcomes Year of the Pig

Students bow to their elders, receive good luck envelopes.

The Korean School of Federal Way recently celebrated the Year of the Pig 2019 with the Traditional YUT tournament.

Students bowed to their elders in brightly colored traditional dress and received good luck envelopes during the event.

“Federal Way is very diverse and this just proves that we can be many, many things to many people and I’m really glad that the children of Federal Way have this opportunity to experience this,” Deputy Mayor Susan Honda told KBS-WA News during the event.

Sponsored by the Federal Way Korean American Association, the grand prize was a 55-inch UHD TV.
