Life Care Centers of America recently honored Nataliya Yakimenko, director of clinical services for its Mariner Region, with one of two President’s Awards for its Northwest Division.

The honor, given during Life Care’s annual management meeting at its headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee, recognizes distinguished service in a long-term health care management role. The Northwest Division includes 31 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah.

Yakimenko leads the clinical teams in her region to be the best they can. Four buildings in her region have achieved a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Two have also achieved deficiency-free state health inspections in the last year.

Beyond her own region, Yakimenko offers her support to other Life Care facilities in the Northwest.

“Nataliya has demonstrated professional skill and compassion in dispatching her responsibilities to the associates, residents and families she serves,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “She has uniquely demonstrated a leadership style for others to emulate. This is a distinguished award to receive because it goes to the heart of our mission.”

Fourteen President’s Awards are presented annually to leaders of overall successful facilities or organizations within Life Care.

Life Care’s Mariner Region office is located at 33528 6th Ave. S. in Federal Way.
